Autopen Detector

Autopens are machines that physically hold a pen and sign documents based on a template. Because they use real ink, they pass many basic authentication tests, but they fail under structural analysis.

Uniform pressure throughout the entire signature.
"Drawn" appearance with lack of fluidity.
Heavy ink dots at the start and end of strokes (machine hesitation).
Perfect 1:1 match with known autopen templates.

Diagnostic Checklist

Uniform Pressure Profile The ink thickness is identical on both upstrokes and downstrokes, lacking natural human variance.

Terminal Dots Heavy, distinct dots of ink pool at the beginning and end of every time the pen lifts, caused by the machine lowering and raising.

Mechanical Tremor (Matrix) Under high magnification, long straight strokes appear to have a consistent, microscopic "wobble" caused by the machine's gears.

Exact Template Match When overlaid with another signature from the same era, it matches with 100% precision. Humans never sign exactly the same way twice.
